Cardinals remain #1 for 9th straight USCHO.com Division III poll

USCHO.com Division III Women's Top-10 Poll

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey remained at No. 1 for the ninth consecutive USCHO.com Division III Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced on Monday.  

Plattsburgh State (12-1-0, 8-0-0 Northeast Women's Hockey League [NEWHL]) garnered 149 voting points and 14 first-place points to stay atop the poll. The Cardinals have held the No. 1 ranking in the poll since March 18, 2019.


The poll, which was released Monday afternoon prior to the Cardinals' 4-1 win over No. 5 Adrian College in the Norwich East-West Hockey Classic championship game, included Plattsburgh State's 6-3 victory over No. 3 Norwich University on Sunday. It marked the Cardinals' first game in nearly a month.

Plattsburgh State resumes NEWHL play on Wednesday, Jan. 8, when it hosts Morrisville State College in the first-ever conference meeting between the two teams. The opening puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.
