Plattsburgh ranked #1 for 8th consecutive Division III poll Division III Women's Top-10 Poll  

PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey remained at No. 1 for the eighth consecutive Division III Women's Top-10 Poll, as announced on Monday.  

Plattsburgh State (10-1-0, 8-0-0 Northeast Women's Hockey League [NEWHL]) garnered 147 voting points and 12 first-place points to stay atop the poll. The Cardinals have held the No. 1 ranking in the poll since March 18, 2019.

This past week, the Cardinals defeated SUNY Potsdam, 7-0, on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena. Plattsburgh State then topped SUNY Cortland, 5-2, on Friday, Dec. 6, in Cortland, N.Y.

Plattsburgh State will next play at No. 3 Norwich University as part of the Norwich East-West Hockey Classic at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 5. The Cardinals will face No. 6 Adrian College or No. 8 Elmira College in either the consolation game (1 p.m.) or the championship game (4 p.m.) on Monday, Jan. 6.
