    CANTON, N.Y. — No. 1 Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey lengthened its winning streak to nine games with a 5-1 Northeast Women's Hockey League (NEWHL) victory over SUNY Canton on Saturday evening at the Roos House.

    MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - The SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (7-8, 5-5 NEWHL) got power-play goals from freshman forward Kaylee Merrill (Wasilla, Alaska/Anchorage North Stars) and senior assistant captain Lucy Condon (Waterloo, Ontario/Waterloo Ravens) to defeat the Morrisville State (7-8-1, 4-5-1) 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. Senior captain Alexa Pfeiffer (Sylvania, Ohio/Little Caesar's) had her shutout spoiled with two seconds left, but still had a strong performance with 38 saves. The victory was the program-leading 24th of her career.
  • Grace Schnorr sets goal mark as Cortland beats Buffalo State 4-2

    CORTLAND, N.Y. – Junior Grace Schnorr (Camillus/Little Caesars) broke her own school record with her 16th goal of the season as the Cortland women's ice hockey team skated past NEWHL opponent Buffalo St., 4-2, Saturday afternoon at Alumni Arena. Schnorr had set the modern-era (since the 2000-01 season) record of 15 goals last season.

    PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — Junior forward Annie Katonka (Pittsburgh, Pa./Pittsburgh Penguins Elite) reached 100 career points and sophomore forward Sara Krauseneck (Saginaw, Mich./Northern Cyclones) garnered her first collegiate hat trick as No. 1 Plattsburgh State women's ice hockey recorded a season-high goal total in a 9-1 win over SUNY Canton in Northeast Women's Hockey League play on Friday afternoon at the Ronald B. Stafford Ice Arena.

    CORTLAND, N.Y.-The SUNY Potsdam women's hockey team (6-8, 4-5 NEWHL) ended a three game skid against SUNY Cortland (10-4-1, 4-4-1) with a 4-1 road victory on Friday night. Junior forward Natalie Wasielewski (Carnegie, Pa./Pittsburgh Penguins Elite) scored two goals and senior assistant captain Delphine Léonard (Anjou, Quebec/Dawson College Prep) had a goal and an assist for the Bears. Freshman forward Kaylee Merrill (Wasilla, Alaska/Anchorage North Stars) also scored and senior goaltender Kayla McCabe (Watertown, N.Y./Syracuse Nationals) made 43 saves.
